 This successful private equity backed logistics business is looking to grow further via international expansion, and is seeking a Divisional Managing Director to develop a new division within the South East.

 Reporting to the CEO, the Managing Director will be responsible for:

• Completing the development of a new site, including building a new functional team
• Leading a recruitment strategy to complete the 700 strong workforce
• Delivering the operational P & L of the site, within set time-frames
• Developing a detailed customer onboarding plan for new and existing customers
• Strong management and control of key performance indicators
• Achieve and sustain superior operational performance within budget whilst delivering continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide leadership, motivation, training and development to the workforce 
• Maximise performance against customer requirements

• General and multi-functional management experience in a logistics led environment
• Large project delivery experience, including ‘start-up’ operations
• Explicit understanding of the international logistics landscape
• Exposure to and experience of Finance and Management information reporting 
• Exceptional leader and motivator of people 
• Highly customer oriented with a genuine desire to deliver first class service
• Detail focused individual with an attuned understanding of just-in-time delivery 
• Motivated by being “hands on”. Exceptional operations skills and ability to drive efficiencies
